Posted: August 31, 2011

In order for Country Maid, Inc. (manufactures of Butter Braid brand pastries) to witness our belief and commitment to our Mission Statement: “Helping Others, Help Themselves,” we pledged our support to Operation Gratitude at this year’s Annual Dealer Conference in Anaheim, California.
Operation Gratitude is based out of California and is a non-profit, volunteer-based corporation, which is funded entirely by private donations. Operation Gratitude annually sends 100,000+ care packages filled with snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation addressed to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed in harm’s way and to Wounded Warriors in Military hospitals and Transition Units. Operation Gratitude’s mission is to lift morale; bring a smile to a service member’s face and express to the Armed Forces the appreciation and support of the American people.
Butter Braid Pastry dealers and Country Maid, Inc. teamed up together to show our appreciation to the U.S. Military fighting overseas. A total of $2,220, 40 handwritten letters/drawings, and 2 bags of goodies were donated to Operation Gratitude. The money that was donated will help Operation Gratitude assemble and ship 148 care packages!

The "Butter Braid® family" is participating in Lee National Denim Day® to join the fight against breast cancer.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. That's a startling statistic. But since 1996, Lee National Denim Day® has raised nearly $80 million for the fight against breast cancer...$5 at a time. On Denim Day, October 8, 2010 our team has pledged to wear jeans and each donate at least $5 to the Women's Cancer Programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. We hope you will join us.
Donations can be made through our team page or you can organize an event of your own!
